Kast Card Review 2026: Stablecoin Neobank, Up to 5% Back
Fresh off an $80M Series A, Kast is turning stablecoins into everyday money. We break down the Kast Card's real cashback math, the fees nobody mentions, and how to claim the sign-up discount.
Stablecoins stopped being a trader’s tool some time ago. In March 2026, Kast closed an $80 million Series A co-led by QED Investors and Left Lane Capital — the same QED that backed Nubank — on the back of one million users and close to $5 billion in annualised transaction volume. Their pitch is simple: a neobank where the money in your account is USDT or USDC instead of a bank deposit. I have been watching this segment closely from the trading side, and Kast is currently the loudest name in it. Here is what the product actually does, what the cashback is really worth, and where the fees hide.

What is Kast? A neobank built on stablecoins
Kast (kast.xyz) calls itself “the global money app powered by stablecoins,” and structurally it behaves like a neobank — minus the banking licence, which is an important nuance we will come back to. Founded in July 2024 by Raagulan Pathy, the former Circle executive who ran Asia-Pacific, the app covers the four things a bank account normally does:
- Store — USD-denominated virtual accounts, accessible from 170+ countries;
- Earn — yield vaults advertising up to 7% APY on idle balances;
- Move — cross-border transfers in 18+ currencies, settled on stablecoin rails 24/7;
- Spend — the Kast Card, a Visa accepted at over 150 million merchants.
For anyone living between currencies — and in Southeast Asia that is most of us — the appeal is obvious. Your salary can sit in digital dollars, earn yield, and be spent at a 7-Eleven in Bangkok or a café in Lisbon without touching a local bank.
The Kast Card: a Visa that spends your stablecoins
The card is the centre of the product. You deposit stablecoins — USDT, USDC, USDe, PYUSD or RLUSD across Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum and Tron — and Kast converts them 1:1 to spendable USD with no spread and a 0% top-up fee. A virtual card is issued within minutes of KYC approval and loads straight into Apple Pay or Google Pay; the physical card follows in 7–10 business days. Designs range from the standard K Card to Solana, Bitcoin and Pudgy Penguins co-branded editions, which tells you exactly who the marketing team is talking to.
Kast Card cashback: what you actually earn
Cashback is where Kast differentiates — and where you should read carefully, because there are two reward streams stacked on top of each other: instant USD cashback and KAST Points.

| Tier | Annual fee | USD cashback | KAST Points | Monthly spend cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Free | 1.5% | — | $2,000 |
| Premium | $1,000 | 2% | +1% | $10,000 |
| Private | $10,000 | 3% | +2% | $50,000 |
Some honest math. On the free Standard card, maxing the $2,000 monthly cap earns you $360 a year — decent for a free product. Premium needs about $50,000 of annual spend just to cover its $1,000 fee from the extra 0.5% cashback alone; the case only works if you value the KAST Points. And the Points are the speculative kicker: they accrue per dollar spent, and the community widely expects them to convert into a KAST token at a future TGE. Kast has not confirmed terms, so treat Points as a call option, not income.
Also note the mechanics: cashback sits under a 14-day timelock, is redeemed manually in-app, and applies against future card purchases — you cannot withdraw it to a wallet. It is a rebate, not a payout.

The fees nobody puts in the headline
- Top-up: 0% for stablecoins; $2 for ACH, $15 for Fedwire;
- FX: 0.5–1.75% on non-USD spending — though Kast is running a 0% FX promotion until 31 August 2026;
- ATM: $3 flat + 2% per withdrawal, capped at $250 per withdrawal and $750 per day — this card is not for cash;
- Declined transaction: $0.50.
For a Thai user spending baht, that FX fee matters once the promo lapses: 1.75% would eat most of the Standard tier’s 1.5% cashback. Spend in USD terms where you can.
The trade-offs a researcher has to flag
Kast is custodial. Deposited crypto is treated as sold to Kast on entry, there is no self-custody workflow, and Kast is a fintech, not a licensed bank — your balance is not deposit-insured. Full KYC is mandatory and partner approval can delay or block access in some jurisdictions. None of this is unusual for the category, but it should size how much you keep in the app: this is a spending account, not a savings account.
Verdict: the strongest stablecoin card right now — used correctly
As a spending rail for stablecoins, Kast is currently the most complete product on the market: instant virtual Visa, genuinely free top-ups, workable cashback on a free tier, and a serious balance sheet behind it after the Series A. Keep working capital in it, spend in USD, harvest the cashback and the Points optionality — and keep your savings elsewhere. That is how I would use it, and it is how I do use it.

FAQ
Is the Kast Card legit?
Yes. Kast is a venture-backed fintech ($80M Series A, March 2026, led by QED Investors and Left Lane Capital) issuing Visa cards through licensed partners, with 1M+ users. It is not a bank, and balances are not deposit-insured.
How much cashback does the Kast Card pay?
1.5% on the free Standard tier, 2% + 1% in KAST Points on Premium ($1,000/yr), and 3% + 2% in Points on Private ($10,000/yr). Rates are seasonal and subject to change.
Which stablecoins and chains does Kast support?
USDT, USDC, USDe, PYUSD and RLUSD on Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum and Tron, with 0% top-up fees and 1:1 USD conversion.
Is there a KAST token airdrop?
Nothing official. KAST Points accrue on every card purchase and the community expects a token conversion at a future TGE, but Kast has not confirmed terms — treat Points as upside, not guaranteed value.
What do I get for using a Kast referral code?
Signing up with code LBSZVUQ2 gives $100 off a Premium membership or $1,000 off Private on the first purchase, plus cash task bonuses tied to early spending milestones.
